What to Do If You’re Lost, Confused and Directionless

If you’ve ever Googled something like “what to do with my life” at 2am while simultaneously looking up astrology birth chart readings and wondering if your lack of purpose is a trauma response… hi. You’re not alone.

Let’s clear something up right out of the gate:
There is nothing wrong with you for not having it all figured out.

There is something wrong with the expectation that you should.

We’ve been sold this idea that we’re meant to have a 5-year plan, a well-manicured LinkedIn bio, and a burning passion that clicked into place the moment we turned 21. But let’s be real — that’s not how life works for most people. And especially not for people like us.

People with big hearts, deep questions, and a suspicion that we weren’t put here just to pay bills and die.

The Big Myth That Keeps You Stuck

Here’s the thing most “purpose” content won’t tell you:

You don’t find your purpose by thinking harder.

You don’t unlock it by downloading 17 PDFs, pulling oracle cards every morning, or taking a 3-hour “Find Your Why” webinar that leaves you feeling like a boiled potato.

Purpose doesn’t arrive like a pizza delivery — hot, labelled, and neatly sliced.

It unfolds.
It emerges.
And it usually starts when you stop trying to plan the whole thing out and actually start living.

Because the truth is, clarity doesn’t come from waiting for the perfect idea. It comes from making decisions — messy, honest, not-sure-if-this-will-work decisions — and seeing what they reveal.

Why You Feel So Lost (Even Though You’re Not)

You’re probably not as lost as you think.

What’s actually happening is this:

You’re still trying to measure your life with a ruler that was never made for you.

Society gave you this checklist:
✅ Be productive
✅ Make money
✅ Find a job that sounds good at parties
✅ Do something “stable”
✅ Impress your parents or Instagram followers

But if you’re a person who values freedom, authenticity, creativity, spirituality, or impact — you can tick every one of those boxes and still feel completely unfulfilled.

You’re not broken. You’re just measuring your life with someone else’s metrics.

The Shift That Changes Everything

At some point, you have to stop asking “What should I be doing?” and start asking “What do I actually value?”

That’s what changed everything for me.

I stopped chasing the life I thought I was supposed to want and started building the one I was actually curious about. That meant quitting a job that looked great on paper, moving countries with no plan, living in a Kung Fu school, and eventually building a business that now supports me to help others do the same.

Did I have a perfect blueprint when I started?
Absolutely not.

But I had a deeper knowing that this wasn’t it — and that was enough to take the first step.

So… What Do You Do Now?

If you’re feeling lost, confused, or directionless — don’t try to solve it all at once.

Instead, ask yourself:
What feels even a little bit more true than what I’m doing now?
What’s one decision I’ve been avoiding that I already know is right for me?
What’s one thing I’m curious about — even if it doesn’t make sense yet?

Follow that. Not forever. Just for now.

And if you want a deeper, real-talk kind of map — one that cuts through the noise and brings you back to your own inner compass — I made something for you.
